Aspire Higher Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Fairdinkum: Because the land was sold and the trail moved, people can no longer get to the cache, as it is now on private property. Our physical condition now precludes us from moving the cache to a new location, so it appears that the only alternative is to archive it. It was a great site while it lasted. Sorry to see it go.

Geocache Description:

This cache highlights the great "Aspiration Trail" a 5 year project of our friends, Ann and Kevin Hansen.  The trail takes you to the top of a mountain where you will have a fantastic panoramic view of Bloomington and Sun River communities with St. George, Snow Canyon, and Pine Valley Mountain in the background.  Along the way and at the top you will find numerous rocks painted with motivational and fun messages. Bring your own painted rock to memorialize your climb, and be sure to add some swag to trade in the cache.

The climb is quite vigorous, but not dangerous or unduly steep.  If we old codgers can make it up there, so can you.  It takes about 45 minutes to hike to the cache from the Pioneer Road trailhead or about 20 minutes from the trailhead which enters the trail at the middle not far past the reservoir off on the dirt road accessed from Desert Color Parkway.  No need to leave the trail until you reach the summit.  Access the trail from Pioneer Road by following the path skirting the wall of the Monster RV Storage and going through the freeway underpass behind it.
