Fairbairn House Heritage Centre showcases the history of the Gatineau River Valley. Built in 1861, the William Fairbairn family homestead now features a tourist office, exhibitions on local heritage, guided tours, a heritage log cabin, heritage barn, outdoor stage and access to Sentiers Wakefield walking trails. The Heritage Centre is located a stone’s throw from Wakefield’s famous red covered bridge. Follow the red trail, the cache is on the right side of the hill. Be quite, you may encounter a few deer munching on the cedar trees

Le Centre patrimonial de la maison Fairbairn raconte l’histoire de la vallée de la rivière Gatineau. Construite en 1861, la maison familiale de William Fairbairn comprend maintenant un bureau de tourisme, des expositions sur le patrimoine local, des visites guidées, une cabane en bois rond, une grange patrimoniale, une scène en plein air et un accès aux sentiers pédestres. Le Centre patrimonial est situé à deux pas du célèbre pont couvert rouge de Wakefield. Suivez la piste rouge, la cache se trouve du côté droit de la colline. Soyez tranquille, vous pouvez rencontrer quelques cerfs en train de grignoter des cèdres.
