Geocache Description:

A home made cache built to commemorate the Louth to Lincoln railway line which used to run along this route.  The line closed to passenger traffic in 1951 and to goods traffic in 1956.  It branched off the Louth to London line near Wood Lane in Louth, passed under the bridge at the junction of Newmarket and Kenwick Road and then passed the London Road sports ground to continue under the London Road and then to this spot and onwards to Lincoln.
