Yeti #048 - Welcome to the Leisure Dome (GC87ZHD)

Welcome to the Yeti Trail around London Colney, this is 50 stage cache trail that can be done in parts over a number of days or as a loop trail all in one go. The trail will take you around the Village of London Colney set in the English countryside of Hertfordshire, located south of the once Roman city St Albans. There are a number of convenient free car parks around the village where you can pick up and leave the trail.

Directions

Follow the path and road around the corner and back towards Alexander road, cross over and turn left, follow the road for about 50m until to see the entrance to another alleyway. Turn right down the alleyway and come out at the other end (sorry no caches to find down here, this time!) Exit the alley at the high street, turn right and walk along the high street until you reach the zebra crossing, cross over, you should now be outside the local leisure centre, the cache is located nearby.

Walk to the nearest corner of the leisure centre and follow the path around the outside rear of the building, you will pass alongside the outdoor, caged football pitches with a row of high trees on your left. After the row of caged pitches, the path opens up into a large field, bear right and walk towards the fallen fenced area, begin you hunt for the next cache.
