This road/ trail eventually will lead you to the dam at the other side of the lake. Once you grab this cache you should keep moving. The trail eventually descends and spills out onto a grassy mound. Follow it across and check out the dam. It was built by Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s and it created Black River Pond. Those that served in the CCC also worked on projects including reforestation, pest control, and soil conservation.
