Geocache Description:

Find all 17 "S.T.C.Q." caches, assemble the code letters to decode the 17-letter message and submit the completed message to Geopractor to receive your commemorative coin.  This is a family-friendly trail.  Wausa, incorporated in 1890, is a village in Knox County, Nebraska, population 634.  In 1882 Theodore Thorson was the first resident, postmaster, and land agent.  By 1885 twelve new Swedish families had moved in and it was decided to name the community "Vasa" in honor of the Swedish King Gustaf Vasa.  In 1890 when the railroad came through it was decided to change the name to WAUSA, a combination of the king's name and the letters of the U.S.A.  Wausa is a delightful community to visit with evidence of its Swedish ancestry.  Wausa hosts 2 bars, 1 cafe, a grocery store, a great meat locker, and a mini mart.  The city park has camping.  I have enjoyed the best pizza west of the Missouri in this delightful little community.
