Geocache Description:


I have decided to place a cache along this stretch of beautiful coastline as it is such a fantastic walk passing saltmarsges and meadows. When I placed the cache I passed many wading birds such as Oystercatchers. I hope you enjoy this very peaceful area under the shadow of this magnificent structure. You are looking for a micro cache so please bring a pen (cil) and please replace as found. Happy Hunting

This three storey tower mill was built in 1890 by Robert Martin, a Millwright from Beccles. This is an important landscape feature in the region. It is one of only 2 remaining drainage mills on the Suffolk coastal marshes. The mill actually only worked for about four years before the sails were blown off . It has been restored.
