I was heading out to place this cache above the road on a plateau of the ridge, when I came across what began as a road along the opposite side of the ridge. If it really was once a road, it has long been forgotten now. The years have taken its toll in a few places, but it can be considered a reasonable trail, just not well travelled.
The cache is a small camo-ed pill bottle. The type of hide will become very apparent as you close in to the area.
This is an exposed stretch and not a beaten path, so be careful en route as well as poking around the area. If it is hot, you will want to bring water, although it is not too far from the trailhead, so it may be possible to just dash for this one.
