This Wherigo will take you on a walking tour of the Oklahoma City Zoo. If you've ever been to the zoo, you know it is a large place! For the sake of brevity, only certain animal exhibits were chosen to be included and a kind of loop was created to make it easier to see more exhibits along the way. This Wherigo is also wheelchair accessible except for the final location. Terrain is rated for the amount of distance being covered.
If you did a speed run, you could probably finish this in 45 minutes. More likely though, a typical leisurely visit would take a while longer. That being said, this cache is perfect for the whole family so come on out and enjoy your visit while you cache along the way!
Tips and Tricks: If you don't already have it, you will need to download the Wherigo player on your device: iOS | Android. Once you have it installed, come back to this page and download the Wherigo cartridge below. After downloading the app and the Wherigo cartridge, it is recommended that you restart your phone to refresh your device's memory to reduce the chance the app crashes. The Wherigo should save your progress automatically after each zone if you happen to close out of the app or possibly need to come back another time. You should test this though while you are there to be sure.
Also, due to the amount of walking required, you might want to bring some water and a battery pack with you.
Open daily from 9 am to 5 pm
Parking is free
- Please be aware there is a nominal fee to enter zoo grounds.
- More information may be found at their website.
