Welcome to Horseshoe Lake. The largest multi-purpose municipal park in Roxbury Township. You can do most anything here. Soccer, football, baseball, baskeball, volleyball, walk, run, bicycle, swim & fish in the lake! Ohhhh yes, and geocache as well. There are several geocaches within the park, as well as the beginning of DTLee's WMG power trail that continues south along the Black River.
Walking around the park one afternoon recently and thought that this park needs some additonal geocaches. But becasue of the high muggle factor, yes, they have to be micros, and I thought doing my favorite type of puzzle hides would fit the bill. I love a good field puzzle, but I want to make them easy enough for the non-puzzler geocachers to find them as well.
The posted coordinates bring you to a memorial plaque! Not telling you exactly what, but you'll be able to figure it out. I promise! Parking is very close nearby so you will only need a short walk to this location.
ASSUME N 40 51. (A)(B)(C) W 074 074 38. (D)(E)(F) Easy enough, right?!? Search the plaque for the answers you will need!
A = Number of fishing poles found on the plaque
B = Number of actual numbers found on the plaque
C = Number of letters in the third word minus the last word on plaque for this value
D = Number of right hands, minus the number of left hands seen on plaque
E = Number of feet (right & left) that are not completely straight
F = Number of letters in the 6th word found on the plaque
Be wary of muggles, for they can be present at any time. Please replace the cache container in the same manner in which it was found! Thanks, and have fun in the search!
Congratulations to both Harry Dolphin & Rabid Llamas on the FTF!!!
