Victoria pier is the main pier for lerwick for a large amount of years. Over the years it was used as the main shipping hub for lerwick and the Shetland islands with passenger/freight ships coming into port. From then the pier has gone through a number of changes and extended over the years.
With the pier now it is used as a public car park for pay and display, now there is small pontoons there on the north and south faces for the small travelling vessels to visit the port in the summer months and the east face is used for larger visiting ships like liners and cruise ships
