Geocache Description:

On June 28, 2000, Canada's first geocache was hidden at Exit 7 of Highway 103 in Nova Scotia. Twenty years later, the cache (and cacher behind it) are still going strong.

Thanks eastriver for giving Lunenburg County its geocaching claim to fame!

To help mark the 20th birthday/anniversary of geocaching in Canada, I decided to hide a new cache, which is also my 200th Traditional hide. It is located just off the Rails to Trails on the Aspotogen Peninsula's west side. Along with regular trade items, there's a button and an unactivated wooden nickel in the shape of GCBBA for the FTF.

Enjoy the trail, and here's to many more years of caching in Canada!
