As far as I can tell, this is Alpharetta’s first and only Letterbox hybrid cache. I like letterbox caches so naturally I had to put one out there.

So what’s a 356? Well, it’s a Porsche!

Porsche made these cool little 2 seater cars, the predecessor to the 911, between 1948 and 1965. In all, only 76,313 of these hand built cars were produced. Most stayed in Europe, some made it to the U.S. About 1/3rdof them are still around. They were powered by a small rear mounted, VW engine that today, your lawnmower would more HP! It took Porsche 2 years to produce the first 50 cars! Most were sold in Germany and Austria. They were very popular among racing enthusiasts. The first road certified 356 entered and won it's class at Innsbruck, June 1948.
There were a few variations. Speedsters were only produced between 1954 and 1958 and collectors trip over each other for a chance to get one. For more info about the Porsche 356, check out Wikipedia.
I placed a few of my signature trinkets in the cache. Feel free to take one but please leave some for the next cacher. Watch for dog walking and commuting muggles!
Congrats to GeauxTeam! for the FTF! They were so fast that I barely had time to recognize the hide had been published before they found it!
