Placed for the 2019 Superhero! West Bend Cache Ba$h. The beat began Wednesday, April 25th 2012 for Hartford's newest police officer -- K9 officer "Cash." The purebred red fox Labrador became the Hartford Police Department's first K9 unit. Cash was made possible thanks to a Hartford Police Department fundraiser that garnered more than $100,000. Officer Cash works with the department's traffic narcotics team and the drug recognition expert program. He is also trained for tracking and is also an important part of the community outreach efforts in local schools, businesses, and the Hartford community.
