Part of a guerilla sculpture trail
AN artist yesterday defended his sculpture of a fisherman after critics branded it rude and rubbish.
Some townsfolk in Annan, Dumfriesshire want the £40,000 statue – called the Haaf Netter – removed from a roundabout in the town centre.
And some claim a salmon, which pokes through a net on the front of the sculpture by artist Paul Cowan looks a bit rude.
One community council member claims he saw teenage girls taking suggestive pictures at the under fire statue.
