This collection of caches has nothing to do with the Church Micro series in the UK. Given that the Australian 2016 census indicates that No Religion and Jedi Knight are the fastest increasing classifications of the optional religion question "What is the person's religion?" it is not surprising that there is surfeit of empty churches that have been repurposed.

Baptist Church
The history of religion in South Australia is of the utmost importance in understanding the trend of social movements. The establishment of the various branches of the Christian faith, particularly through the building growth period of the late 19th century, is significant to the development of Adelaide's suburbs. In this case the link between a North Adelaide 'mother' church and this 1899 building provides guidelines for the growth of churches, and perhaps suburbs.
This former church is constructed of random coursed limestone and has brick quoins and surrounds to openings. The church is symmetrically designed on a rectangular plan, with a small porch attached to the main facade. Two lancet windows are placed next to the main door and are surmounted by a circular relief and three rectangular mouldings. Gables are rendered and rise to a finial.
The Baptist cause in Prospect first began to be organised in the 1880s. From a house-church the movement spread to a site in Pulsford Road. In 1883 a small wooden chapel was built on the site and a Sunday School was also inaugurated. G W Cooper laid the foundation stone for this chapel. Cooper was manager of the wool department of Elder Smith & Co. He was an erstwhile president of the Adelaide Chamber of Commerce and also played a great part in the life of the Tynte Street, North Adelaide, Baptist Church. The Pulsford Road Church closed its doors as a place of worship in 1959.
