NOTE: There is no need to climb down the dam or to bushwhack!
This micro cache brings you to Risley Reservoir. It is named after the snake that Zapawu almost stepped on while crossing the dam in 2016! Luckily, it was as uninterested in Zapawu as Zapawu was in it, and it took off into the lake.
This reservoir is a great place for fishing, kayaking/canoeing, or hanging out on a nice day. Behind the lake (relative to the road) is a surprisingly large chunk of forest and many nice trails. It's a great area for bird watching and for finding/enjoying other wildlife.
Ground Zero a short walk from the roadside parking area, across the dam, and just down the trail. The only "difficult" terrain is crossing the new wood bridge over the stream but, if you're feeling a tiny bit adventurous, you're more than welcome to use the old stone-to-stone path that is located a few yards to the east of the new bridge. Otherwise, you can follow the trail from the other, larger parking area at the opposite end of the lake, for a longer hike.
Cache is an unconventional micro. Might take a little searching but thankfully this side of the park is rarely busy.
