Geocache Description:

This multi will take you to some of Mount Pleasant's murals where you will gather clues to find the cache. The total distance you will need to travel to visit all stages and complete this multi is about 700 metres.

The final is at N 49 AB.CDE W12F G.HIJ and is within a few blocks of the other stages.

Stage 1:
"Alone in High Places" by Laura Bifano
"This mural is a depiction of a sweeping alpine vista surrounded by sheer peaks on all sides. Bands of light play across the walls of granite and fall on the lush meadow below.This is a part of a series of paintings inspired by wild, remote landscapes. I hope to impart to the viewer the same sense of awe and wonder I feel in these places."
How many mountain peaks are above the door? Count only the purple peaks between the two windows above the door. Take this number as E.

Stage 2:
At this location, you will find two murals: a colourful one called "TOILETSNAKE" to the south, and a black and white one to the north.
How many skateboarding creatures are there in the black and white mural? Take this number as F.

Stage 3:
This painting is by members of Thrive Art Studio. "Without the rain in Vancouver we would not have the green mountains, trees and plants we love. Just like all great things in life you don't get the reward without the work. You don't get the flowers without the rain."
How many times does the word "no" appear in the mural? Take this number as H.

Stage 4:
This mural is by the Jealous Curator aka Danielle Krysa. According to the caption, Liz knew that what Phil saw as a "pile of dots" would make for a #TOTZADORBZ _______. How many letters are in the word that fills in the blank? Take this number as J.
(There is another mural in this series nearby at N49 15.865 W123 6.084.)

Stage 5:
"Monster in Hiding" by Michelle Nguyen
"One of the most notable features of the iconic Mona Lisa is her eyes, which are infamously known for its ability to follow the viewer. A painting like this (one that is able to acknowledge you back) is unsettling because you are no longer just observing her; she is now scrutinizing you too. Monster in Hiding acknowledges the power dynamic that exists between the surveyor and the surveyed by inverting it, allowing the painting subjects to take the role of spectator. "
How many candles are on the cake? Take this number as G.

Stage 6:
"Hole in the Sky" by Atheana Picha
"Indigenous form line is integrated throughout the mural, peaking to the culture that is strongly intertwined with the environment. Each of the animals and insects are important to indigenous culture as well as our eco system. This mural is meant to show appreciation of the small things in the wilderness, that are in my opinion, overlooked and undervalued."
What animal is in the centre of the mural, under the setting sun? Choose from the following options to get the answer for C.
giraffe = 2
bear = 5
heron = 7
orca = 8
sea lion = 9

Stage 7:
"Strange Bedfellows" by Phantoms in the Front Yard artist collective
"Founded in 2010, Phantoms in the Front Yard is a Vancouver-based figurative artist collective focused on elevating the human figure’s role as muse in the Canadian contemporary art scene. This group brings together the work of Vancouver artists Andrea Hooge, Michael Abraham, Jeremy Birnbaum, James Knight, Paul Morstad, Jonathan Sutton and Jay Senetchko, in collaboration with curator Pennylane Shen.
The essence of the group’s purpose is to address the fact that Modernist and Postmodern schools of thought virtually ignore the importance of figurative work, effectively banishing it to the back yard. With each exhibition, the Phantoms hope to bring figurative work back to its rightful place in the front yard of contemporary art."
True/false: This mural includes three cats sitting on the back of a dog. If true, I=8. If false, I=0.

Stage 8:
How many birds are in this mural? Count only the birds on the wall facing the street. Take this number as D.

Stage 9:
This mural is by Alexia Tryfon. How many figures wearing capes are there? Take this number as A.

Stage 10:
How many dinosaurs are in this mural? Be sure to count both the larger, detailed dinosaurs and the smaller black dinosaur silhouettes. Take this number as B.

Once again, the final is at N 49 AB.CDE W12F G.HIJ. You'll find it less than two blocks away from stage 10.

Congrats to Flintstone4 for the FTF!
