History:
The existence of the spa is due to a lucky accident: as a result of oil research drillings began in the 1920s and continued in the 1950s, a column of water of 65-70 metres high sprouted to the surface from a depth of 1 282 metres in 1957. The 58 °C warm water treasure containing 15 000 mg/l minerals opened a new chapter in the life of Bük and the surrounding settlements. The real success story began in 1962 with the opening of the first semi-covered pool. The Ministry of Health classified the thermal water of Bük as medicinal water in 1965, then the area as a health spa of regional significance in 1973, and Bükfürdő as a health resort of national significance in 1979. Due to continuous developments currently the spa complex contains 34 pools.

Medicinal spa and adventure bath:
Medicinal spa and open–air swimming pool.
There are covered, half-covered and open-air pools offering bathing opportunities in our 14-acre park with shady trees. The temperature of water is 32-38 °C in the medicinal pools and 26-28 °C in the swimming pools, and there are paddling pools for our youngest visitors to splash about in safe circumstances.
The four slides of the outdoor slide complex available free of charge will leave you with an experience never to forget. The anaconda slide is long and winding, the kamikaze with its sudden fall is recommended for the most daring guests, the family slide is suitable for several people at a time, while the unique onion slide makes you twirl around before splashing into the water.
The spa is an ideal location for recreation throughout the year, with special services offered not just in the summer. A rest-zone building provides an opportunity for perfect relaxation close to the nature. The rest-zone facility offers deck chairs free of charge, as well as toys, lounges, heated rest areas and a mother-and-baby room. The separated spaces, the first floor galleries and the outdoor sun terraces equally contribute to quiet relaxation and enjoyable recreation.
The playroom with its colourful toys and our modern playground offer endless fun to the children.
There are sports facilities available for our more active guests (beach volleyball, foot tennis, small-sided grass-covered football pitch, streetball, table tennis), as well as organised sports and entertainment opportunities.
