In the run up to the sesquicentennial of the Golden Spike at Promontory there’s been quite the buzz about Union Pacific’s Big Boy and it’s return to operational status following 50 years of inactivity. What does that have to do with this cache? Well, the number of the locomotive is a loosely tied clue... Here we go:
Seems there are two of these hanging about and believe it or not they're "on the same road": one at posted coordinates and the one pictured above a little over a mile away. Your task is to locate the one in the picture. Then turn your back to it and walk to the nearby 30. Once there walk the opposite direction of the arrow and stop for gas. Simple, right? Additionally, if you’re so inclined, you could project a waypoint 230 feet @ 167 degrees to the final from the target of your search.
