Geocache Description:

Oaky Woods Wildlife Management Area is a 12,750-acre property located in Houston and Pulaski Counties.

Their mission is to conserve and promote fishing, hunting and wildlife resources through management, education and scientific research. It's a wonderful area to explore and view wildlife.

This is our first Geocache and we wanted to put it somewhere that there were not any other hides.  We had visited this area on a few occasions just to ride around and explore.  The piece of equipment at the GZ was (from what I can gather) left by the company that used to harvest trees from the property.

4WD is not required but I would recommend a higher clearance vehicle.  The road is usually pretty well maintained but in the winter/wet months it can get kind of messy in places.  In the summer it can still have ruts and dried up mud holes if it hasn't been scraped recently. Also keep in mind that this is a WILDLIFE Management Area, watch where you put your feet and just be mindful of your surroundings.

You are looking for one of Geocaching.com's "large" clear plastic ammo containers.  Please put the cache back as found.  We tried to put some items that we thought would be fun for the first few families that find it.  Nothing that's necessarily special for the FTF other than being the first to sign the log book (which I hear is a big deal for some).  My kids wrote a little jingle for the hint, I recommend viewing it if you have trouble finding the cache or after you find it just for something mildly entertaining.

The following disclaimer is required for listing Geocaches on Georgia WMA sites.
