Welcome to Canada's most westerly community. The town of Beaver Creek has a population of approximately 90 people (2019). Being the first Canadian City on the AlCan Highway coming from Fairbanks and Anchorage the town has a number of businesses in town that make this a frequent stop for tourists and travellers from all over the world. The cache is located at the Welcome to Beaver Creek sign that is on the Alaska side of town. If you are coming from the North or South you will be able to pull over onto the shoulder with a motorhome or if you have an SUV or Truck the slight dip on the road will allow you to park right by the sign. Not only can you stop to do your favourite activity of Geocaching but the sign is a great spot for photos of your geo crew! The cache does blend into the area very well. Please do not climb on the sign if you are taking photos or searching. You won't need a ladder to find this cache. After you take a geocaching break please head into town. The visitor centre can give you a ton of history and information on the area. There are places to eat and hotels, motels and RV parks if you need to set up to explore the area a little more.
