The Zodiac Fountain is in Liberty Square, at the main entrance to Carol I Park, in Bucharest, sector 4.
The fountain consists of a large circular basin in the middle of which a stone cup is erected and was designed by the architect Octav Doicescu, and the black mosaics on a gray background, representing the zodiac signs, were made by the sculptor Mac Constantinescu. The works were executed by Archbishop August Schmiedigen and Dorin Pavel.
The fountain was inaugurated in 1935 by King Carol II of Romania, on the occasion of the celebrations of the Month of Bucharest, which lasted from 9 May to 9 June. At that time, the market was called the Joffre Marshal Square.
The Zodiac Fountain is inscribed in the Historical Monuments List 2010 - Bucharest Municipality - at no. crt. 2330, LMI B-III-m-A-20003.
In the Sustainable Development Plan of Bucharest Municipality for the years 2009-2012 was included the change of the circulation pump and of the electric installation at Zodiac Fountain.

Fântâna Zodiac se află în Piața Libertății, la intrarea principală în Parcul Carol I, din București, sector 4.
Fântâna constă dintr-un bazin circular, de mari dimensiuni, în mijlocul căruia se înalță o cupă de piatră și a fost concepută de arhitectul Octav Doicescu, iar mozaicurile negre pe fond cenușiu, reprezentând zodiile, au fost realizate de sculptorul Mac Constantinescu. Lucrările au fost executate de arh. August Schmiedigen și Dorin Pavel.
Fântâna a fost inaugurată în 1935, de regele Carol al II-lea al României, cu ocazia festivităților ocazionate de Luna Bucureștilor, care au durat de la 9 mai până la 9 iunie. La vremea aceea, piața se numea Piața Mareșal Joffre.
Fântâna Zodiac este înscrisă în Lista monumentelor istorice 2010 - Municipiul București - la nr. crt. 2330, cod LMI B-III-m-A-20003.
În Planul de dezvoltare durabilă a Municipiului București pentru anii 2009-2012 a fost inclusă și schimbarea pompei de circulație și a instalației electrice la Fântâna Zodiac.
