Geocache Description:

Rocky Island

(Ivo island)

Welcome to Molunat, which is the southernmost coastal town of Croatia.

From the large agricultural basin "Konavosko polje" it separates the coastal mountains Konavoske stijene, which descend to the sea.

The place is located at the point where a peninsula protrudes "hammer-like" into the sea and, together with the island of Veliki Školj, shields two large harbor bays off the coast. The rocky island of Supetrić is located in the flat Luka Donji Molunat.

Both districts have grown together in the development of the town from a fishing village to the seaside resort with apartment houses and hotels and campsites, and the structural extension is still ongoing. Between the two centers is the small church of Sv. Nikola with graveyard on the sea.
