***CACHE IS NOT AT THE PUBLISHED COORDINATES***
This is the Finale of the Cromer and Narraweena Series:
As you already should know, this cache is NOT at the published coordinates.
You need to find the rest of the series and obtain 6 clues and then do some maths to get the coordinates for the Finale. The find itself is probably a D1.5 but because you need to find atleast 6 other caches, it's a D4. The bouncy GPS signal might make it a D2 but just use your geo-senses and you'll be fine.
Please enjoy this cache and the series and make it enjoyable for others by replacing the cache back where you found it and not spoiling it for them.
The location of the geocache may not be suitable for young children. When placing the cache I enter from the bottom entrance (check on Google Maps after you have the coords) but you can probably enter from the top and side. From were I entered there might be a bit of wading and might be slippery after rain. You will need to follow a trail directly up and then turn left. There should be another small trail leading that way. Please be careful of snakes and other bad animals and don't fall down.
If you are used to inclines and bush-bashing you should be fine. There is a clearing where you can rest. I will take no responsibilities if you get injured.
If you are able-bodied, please at least go to the location to see if the terrain is ok and if it is too bad then don't go past you limit. There is no need to bring and special gear but don't come in your business suit or high-heels!
The algorithms for the final coordinates is further below. About this series: This series is hidden around Cromer and Narraweena. Most caches should be easy to find and access expect for the Finale.
In order to find the Finale, you need to find 6 clues and then solve some maths. The clues are placed randomly and please don't spoil their location in your log. If you have found all the caches and somehow forgot or missed a clue, please contact me so you don't need to do the whole series again.
Please take photos at all caches EXCEPT THE FINALE where you can ONLY take a photo of the log against something that won't give the location away (eg. againt the grass). Please NO SPOILERS in any logs or photos.
If you have any problems please let me know.
The coordinates shouldn't be bad as they were all averaged by a Garmin Montana 650t (thanks to PowerSurge2103 for letting me use it) but if they are off by more than 10 metres or so please message me.
The Finale is hidden near trees and cliffs so coord might be a bit weird but use your geo-senses and you'll be fine.
Please enjoy this cache and the series and make it enjoyable for others by replacing the cache back where you found it and not spoiling it for them.
Extra credit for those who ride, walk, run, etc. the whole series.
What to bring:
For this series, bring a pen or a pencil as most caches don't contain one. Bring some water and food so you don't get hungry or thirsty. A piece of paper or notebook for the clues and math. Swag and trackables to swap and leave. The Finale is a very secure place to leave trackable. Maybe some logs incase one is full, wet or damaged. Bring a fully charged GPS or phone and maybe even spare batteries or a power bank. Make sure to also bring your thinking caps and good luck for finding the series. At all traditionals make sure to look for a clue and write it down.
Algorithms for the final coordinates:
Cache is hidden at S 33° 44.AAB' E 151° 16.CDE'
Lock Code is BAFE (Please lock the cache properly after you finish signing the log, etc.).
Z÷X=A
X-Y-V=B
W÷V=C
X-(Y+W+W)=D
U-(V+W)=E
W-V=F
(Imagine you are doing this in class. What would your teacher tell you to do? Well... Obiviosly "Make sure to use BIDMAS (or BODMAS)". A good geocacher must understand maths. If they don't, they'll probably be a frustraited geocacher.)
Check your answer with the Solution check on the cache page. Hope you enjoyed the series!
