World Wide Flash Mob – A fun and friendly way to promote geocaching around the world. Started in 2007 by Team PodCacher, the 22nd of June, at precisely 10:00am, is
Worldwide Flashmob Day XVI. Thousands of geocachers at dozens of coordinated events spanning the globe,will gather at the same time.
Meet at Blaney Plaza in Saratoga at 9:45ish.
Because this is a Flash Mob event, it's important to follow instructions carefully.
On the morning of the Event:
Make sure you arrive before 10:00am. Please bring an umbrella with you. Act like a muggle before the event starts (try not to congregate with other geocachers)
At exactly 10:00M:
Open your umbrella, hold it above you and start strolling around for the next 10 minutes. Enjoy the fun spirit of the WWFM.
At 10:15am:
Gather around to take a photo with our umbrellas in front of the Memorial Arch and sign the log.
At 10:30:
The event is over. Close up your umbrella and walk away, dispersing in varying directions as if nothing had happened!
Plan to meet up with other geocachers later to spend a fun day caching!
