In 2017 a huge sink hole opened up in the West Auckland suburb of New Lynn..,caused by severe flooding in a storm event ... which caused major problems to surrounding businesses and the main through road ... It took over a year of major work to fix the intersection..

They have constructed an odd sort of park with humps near where the sink hole appeared .... plus a new walkway by the river . I have been keen ever since the event to place a geocache near here .... Today I was in the area and decided to place the cache on the other side of Great North Rd .... Was looking in the trees; and found a surprisingly perfect and rather odd place to hide a magnetic bottletop cache ! Walk up hill past flaxes bushes ...look to your Right for something Random ! Happy hunting ! Parking will mean a bit of a hunt too ! Busy area in work hours ....
