Forth Park- East Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

CoxFamily7310: I have been to this area 2 times and has been to busy to access the cache. Now that no one is around due to Covid 19 I got to have a look. The cache is missing again. I have decided to let this one go there is still one in the area to find. Thanks

Geocache Description:

Upon entering this park you will notice an Anzac Memorial. As a child the CO can remember marching from the school on Anzac Day to this memorial and placing a wreath on behalf of the school. The other fond memories were making the wreath at home with her mother as they did often to take to peoples funerals as well.

As you enter the park there is a large child’s climbing frame if you take notice it is in the shape of a tractor. Nice to see an old wooden style park that’s not all plastic!

To the Eastern side you will find toilets and a BBQ area.

To the Western side you will find the Forth Football Club rooms, the home of the Pies. Football is played during the winter months of a Saturday so if visiting then you will find a busy place and may have to come back another day.

You are also aloud to camp at this site with a RV for 24 hours free. A nice spot on the river’s edge.
