Geocache Description:

When we were first planning this series, I spotted a magnificent old beech tree in this wood that was crying out for a cache.  Unfortunately, when it came to placing one, we discovered that there were bees nesting in it.  Rather than just raise the difficulty level and carry on regardless, we decided to change our plans!  Fortunately, there's no shortage of climbable trees around here and it didn't take long to find an alternative.

The cache is visible from the base of the tree, but in order to log a find, you will need to sign the logbook.  No signey, no smiley.  I will be checking this one regularly, and any logs that don't meet this requirement will be deleted.

Whilst no equipment was used to place the cache, and it isn't as far from the ground as it could be, please remember that you attempt this cache at your own risk.  If in any doubts as to your ability to sign the logbook, then move on, there are plenty of other caches in this series that don't require climbing.

Your GPSr is likely to struggle at GZ due to the tree cover, so a spoiler photo is included to make sure you identify the correct tree before you start climbing!

There is a pencil in the cache, but I have noticed that these do tend to go missing, so it's recommended to BYOP unless you want risk climbing up twice!
