While out maintaining other caches out this way thought I would put this cache here.
This area is already well know for its petrollium products, but has also branched out into forestry exporting and container shipping. Recently polictial activity has pin pointed this port for some major upgrades taking main activity away from Auckland and Tauranga ports- this will be a major positive for the northland region.
While wondering along the beach with the kids we decided to place Timmy along from the wharf where he can see the comings and goings of the big cargo ships. He has been tethered to his spot to make sure he doesn't jump ship and run away. (please don't feed him)
