This is the site of "S.S. No.8, Township of Scott" - the formal title of the one-room school that was built in 1880, on land donated by the Leask family. For 87 years children from the area, including Lucy Maud Montgomery's two sons Staurt and Chester, attended the eight-grade school. The school was closed in 1967 and demolished shortly after, with the land returned to what was originally the Leask farm.
The school had separate entrances for girls and boys, typical of the era. There used to be a locationless cache based on separate boys and girls entrances.
This is a simple and quick 2 stage multi. The final is within 2km of the posted coordinates. At the posted coords you will find a plaque. To find the final, look at the attendance sheet where you will see a month and year at the top. Add the numerical value of the month and the year together and then subtract 1923 from your total and add that to the posted north coords. Take that number you just added to the posted north coordinates and subtract 1 and add that result to the posted west coords. Now go find the cache. Told you it was simple.
