Geocache Description:

DING DING!

"Passengers lean back as a Hong Kong tram -- affectionately called "Ding Ding" by locals -- signals its slow approach to the station. One by one, riders board through the doors at the back and struggle to pass through the narrow turnstiles. Jammed bags are a common sight. The tram slowly rolls back into action, cruising through the middle of traffic in some of Hong Kong's busiest neighborhoods, just as it has for 117 years."

Hong Kong's tram system is one of the earliest forms of public transport in the metropolis, having opened in 1904 under British rule. It has used electric trams since its inauguration, and has never used horse or steam power. It owns the world's largest operational double-decker tram fleet, and is a very rare example of a tram system that uses them exclusively. In addition to being used by commuters, the system is popular with tourists, and is one of the most environmentally friendly ways of travelling in the city.

Hong Kong Tram ======================================================================================

In order to claim this cache, you will need to gather some information at GZ and also board one of the famous tram and hunt for a few more pieces of information and answer the following questions:

At GZ:
1. What's the name of the tram depot at gz?
2. There's a bridge close to gz, counting from bottom up, what's the year displaced on the 10th steps?

Before getting onto a tram:
1. What's the number of the tram that you are about to get on?
2. What's the final destination of the tram you are about to get on?

On the tram:
1. After you pass through the turnstiles upon entering the tram, there's a "steps/switch" on the right side of the floor you can step on to make a sound, what kind of sound does it make?
2. How many seats are available on the upper deck? Which one is your favorite?
3. Read the sign on the front of the upper deck and complete the sentence: "Do Not ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ "

Useful information:
1. This is a VIRTUAL CACHE - there is no physical container and no log book. To prove that you visited the GZ you have to send the answers the above questions to CO within 4 weeks of logging your find.
2. You will have to pay to use the tram. Don't worry, it's still the cheapest transportation in HK, $2.60 for adult and 1/2 price for children. You can pay cash (while getting off the tram) or use an Octopus card.
3. Tram ran exclusively on the Hong Kong Island. You can enjoy the slow pace of the tram passing through street, soaking in the sight from the east to west of the island (or vice versa).
4. Here's a beginner's guide to the tram etiquette.
