Suomeksi Marjaniemen majakka on Hailuodon tunnetuin maamerkki. Majakkatorni on muurattu tiilestä ja tornin ulkopinta on rapattu valkoiseksi. Tornissa on 110 askelmaa ilman välitasanteita. Majakan korkeus maanpinnasta on 25 metriä ja merenpinnan tasosta 30,2 metriä. Alun perin majakkaan asennettiin Fresnelin järjestelmän mukainen linssilaitteisto, joka näytti valoa 20 sekunnin välein etelän ja koillisen väliseen sektoriin 11 meripeninkulman päähän. Ensimmäinen polttimo toimi naurisöljyllä, jota kului n. 250 litraa vuodessa. Kesällä 1908 se korvattiin kaasuöljypolttimolla, joka pidensi majakan kantomatkaa 16 meripeninkulmaan. Vuonna 1950 majakkaan tuli asetyleenikaasuvalo ja 1962 se sähköistettiin. Vanhat kaasulaitteet asennettiin Säpin majakkaan Porin edustalle. Majakan nykyinen valoteho on 1,36 miljoonaa kandelaa. Majakan tornin ikkunassa on aiemmin ollut myös Marjaniemen kalasataman väylän lisäloisto: lisäloisto on kuitenkin poistettu ja siitä ovat muistona enää ikkunan värilasit. Majakassa on lisäksi nettikamera.

In English The Lighthouse of Marjaniemi is the most well-known landmark of Hailuoto island. The lighthouse tower is made of brick and the exterior of the tower is rendered white. The tower has 110 steps without intermediate decks. The lighthouse is 25 meters above ground and 30.2 meters above sea level. Initially, the beacon was fitted with a Fresnel system lens system that illuminated every 20 seconds in the south-northeast sector at 11 miles. The first bulb worked with turnip oil, which consumed about 250 liters a year. In the summer of 1908, it was replaced by a gas oil burner, which extended the lighthouse's range to 16 miles. In 1950 an acetylene gas light came on the lighthouse and in 1962 it was electrified. The old gas equipment was installed in front of the Säpi lighthouse in Pori. The current light output of the lighthouse is 1.36 million candelas. The window of the lighthouse tower has also previously featured an additional splendor of the sea lane of the Marjaniemi fishing harbor: however, the additional splendor has been removed and only the color glasses of the window are remained.
