The Markham Museum brings the present and past together. Markham Museum is a 10 hectare museum, located in Markham. It is dedicated to the preservation of old buildings and artefacts from Markham's past, especially as it transformed from a rural village to an urban centre. The site features nearly 30 historic buildings. One of the oldest buildings is the Hoover House, built in 1824 by a Mennonite family who were originally from Pennsylvania.
