Geocache Description:

centered image

The Anthem Veterans Memorial, located in the Anthem Community Park, is a monument dedicated to honor the service and sacrifice of our country’s armed forces. It is a place of honor and reflection for veterans, their family and friends, and also is a place to show respect to those service men and women who have and continue to courageously serve our county.

This is a very special place and an awesome marvel of architecture and engineering, please take the time to visit this location to get the needed information, it is well worth it. Please send me an email or message with the answers to the following questions before posting a "Found it" log. Please do not post any answers in your log. "Found it" logs that have not satisfied the logging requirements within 72hrs will be removed.

1) On what date was the memorial dedicated?

2) The engineering that went into the design of this monument required some very detailed calculations. As an engineer myself I am intrigued by such creativity and design. What is the name of the Chief Engineer?

3) On what day each year and at what time does the sunlight project through the elliptical openings in the pillars forming a solar spotlight on the glass mosaic of The Great Seal of the United States?

4) Provide the names of the branches of service in order from shortest pillar to tallest.

5) There are two bricks directly at the top of the seal. What recognition was awarded to the Captain?

6) Optional: Take a picture with you or your GPSr in the picture with the monument in view and include in your log. Please do not include any spoilers in your photo.

Congrats to Blestmomof6 on FTF!
