Geocache Description:

Moel y Golfa is part of the Breidden Hills but is not directly connected by a right of way to the others. Consequently the walk starts from the car park and involves as steep a climb as you would care to find, straight up to the summit. This climb, plus a small rock outcrop which is a scramble, if an easy one, gives the walk a higher rating of difficulty than most short walks. The summit ridge is very open with fine views, but the rest of the walk is in mature woodland, which of course has its own attractions. From the car park follow the track upwards through the woodland until you see a fallen log that goes over the track and then a white arrow on the tree and turn left heading up to the top of the summit.  If your uncertain of the way please watch this video HERE

Logging Requirements

You must post a photograph taken near (within 100') of the posted coordinates next to the Gypsy monument. You, your GPSr or an item which clearly identifies you (i.e. your dog, your caching name written on something etc) must be in the photo. It must clearly show that you are at the top of Moel Y Golfa which is where the Gypsy monument is. It's as simple as that! You can read more about Moel Y Golfa HERE
