Naqoura
The Republic of Lebanon (Arabic: لبنان) is a small country (10,452km² in area) with 3.7 million inhabitants) within the Middle East region with its capital being Beirut. It has a long coastline on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea and shares a long land border with its much larger neighbour Syria to the north and the east, a much shorter (and currently "hot") border with Israel to the south.

Lebanon is a country with a long and rich history. Phoenician, Egyptian, Greek, Persian, Roman, Arab, Crusader, and Ottoman ruins are scattered about the country and the most important of them are easily accessible. Byblos, Beirut, Tyre and Sidon are among the oldest continuously populated cities in the world.
Due to the conflicts a UN peacekeeping mission was established in 1978, it is called United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). UNIFIL's mandate is renewed annually by the United Nations Security Council; it was most recently extended on 30 August 2021. It is composed of 10,000 peacekeepers from 46 nations, tasked with helping the Lebanese Army keep the south of the country protected.

UNIFIL's headquarters are in Naqoura. Cache location is almost the end of the road towards the Israeli border - for most people.
This cache is dedicated to all UNIFIL member who participated in peacekeeping in Lebanon. For them it is almost impossible to find physical geocache in this country.
