The Mural that you see here was a project of Canada 150 and was participated by all the Canadian Provinces and Territories. This project was created to connect our country from coast to coast to coast through art. 150 murals were painted and are now displayed across this great country. The individual murals are all connected by the theme at the bottom of each painting which is a railroad track. Make sure to check out other towns and cities in your neighborhood to see if they participated at www.canada150mosaic.com.
Lloydminster families participated one cold and snowy fall day in 2017 by painting original art on a small tile that was then incorporated in the massive mural in front of you. My husband and I both painted a tile and if you look hard they are displayed one in each tree. Mine(right) is of a black cat which is where my Geocaching name has originated from, as it's of our family cat, Shadow. My husband's tile(left) is of a guy that he draws, usually in sand on each and every one of our holidays. We thought it would be fitting to memorialize him in this work of art.
