The Sky Tower has stood tall at 328 meters as an icon of Auckland's sky line for over 20 years. The View of the city from 220 metres high above street level includes Panoramic 360˚ views up to 80 kilometres in every direction. The ability to spot key landmarks, volcanoes and other historical locations within the greater Auckland area.
The Sky Tower is a telecommunications and observation tower in Auckland, New Zealand. Located at the corner of Victoria and Federal Streets within the city's CBD, it is 328 metres (1,076 ft) tall, as measured from ground level to the top of the mast, making it the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere and the 25th tallest tower in the world.
It has become an iconic landmark in Auckland's skyline due to its height and unique design. It took two years and nine months to construct. The tower was opened on 3 August 1997. It was Fletcher Construction contracted to build the tower and Beca Ferner were the design specialists during the project. It was designed by Gordon Moller of Craig Craig Moller architects and it has won numerous architectural awards for design.

1. At the base of the Tower are 2 plaques together. Locate the plaques and photograph yourself OR A photo of the plaques including a GPS device/smartphone/caching paraphernalia.
2. A photo of the Sky Tower, from any angle you choose. You might want to be across the street to get more of the tower in. Its your choice. It is not necessary to have yourself in the photo.
No finds prior to the listing date of this cache (10th June 2019) will count. ENJOY.
