Chimborazo
Chimborazo's summit is the farthest point on the Earth's surface from the Earth's center given that it is located along the planet's equatorial bulge. Here, at 5000 meters of height, you will be further from the center of the earth than the top of Mount Everest! The distance here is 6383,137 km whereas the distance from the peak of Mount Everest is "only" 6382,300 km away.
Refugio Whymper
This refugio is located on the common way up from Refugio Carrel at 4850 m of height. You will need to walk from there - be careful of the thin air and symptoms of altitude sickness!
Your task to log this virtual
Take a photo of you, your GPS or a note with you geocacher name in front of the Refugio Whymper sign and upload along with your log.
NB: To claim the FTF, you also need to hold a sign/readable piece of paper with your geocaching-name and the date of the visit.
