Fužinarsko naselje Stara Sava
Stara Sava je edinstveno fužinarsko območje iz sredine 16. stoletja, kjer so še vedno vidni številni ostanki starega naselja. Glavni trgi so med domačini danes popularna lokacija za sprehode in igro.
Stroje v železarskih obratih in livarni je poganjala voda iz reke Save, speljana prek umetnega vodnega kanala. Na eni strani kanala so vidni ostanki plavža, dimnika, skladišča grodlja in pudlovke. Na drugi strani kanala je bila stara tovarniška dvorana preurejena v muzej na prostem, ki na svojih stebrih gosti fotografsko galerijo. Razstavljene pa so tudi stare lokomotive in vagoni, s katerimi so po tovarni prevažali tovor.
Skladišče za lesno oglje (Kolpern) je bilo obnovljeno in danes gosti številne dogodke, okrogle mize in konference. V kasarni je razstavljena trajna etnološka zbirka. V Ruardovi graščini so od 16. do 19. stoletja domovali lastniki železarskih obratov (družini Bucelleni in Ruard). Danes je v njej sedež Slovenskega železarskega muzeja (trenutno zaprt zaradi prenove).
Nalogi za vpis
- V bližini cerkve se na koordinatah zaklada nahaja jekleni zvon, na katerem je z rimskimi številkami zapisano leto proizvodnje. Letnico pošlji prek centra za sporočila ali kot e-poštno sporočilo.
- Sprehodi se do referenčne točke 03: Muzej na prostem. V dnevniški zapis pripni fotografijo nečesa, kar se ti je v tej stari tovarniški dvorani zdelo še posebej zanimivo. (Ob sobotah in ob posebnih priložnostih na isti lokaciji obratuje tržnica, a je ogled razstave kljub temu možen.)
Virtualno priznanje 2.0 - 2019/2020
Ta zaklad je eden od virtualnih zakladov, ki so bili v omejenem številu ustvarjeni med 4. junijem 2019 in 4. junijem 2020. Le 4.000 geolovcev je dobilo možnost postaviti svoj virtualni zaklad. Preberite Geocaching Blog za več informacij o virtualnih priznanjih.

Stara Sava ironworks settlement
Stara Sava is a unique ironworks area from the middle of the 16th century where many remains of the old settlement can still be seen. The main squares are now popular places for locals to take a stroll and for children to play.
The machines in the ironworks and the foundry were powered by the water from the Sava river led through the artificial water channel. On one side of the channel you can see the remains of a blast furnace, a chimney, a building for pig iron storage and a puddling furnace. On the other side of the channel, an old factory hall has been converted to an open-air museum with a photo gallery on its pillars and an exhibit of old locomotives and wagons once used for transportation inside the factory
The charcoal storage halls (Kolpern) have been renovated and nowadays host various events, round table discussions, and conferences. Inside the barracks, a permanent ethnological collection is now on exhibit. The Ruard manor was a place of residence for the Bucelleni and Ruard families who owned the ironworks from the 16th till the 19th century. It is now the seat of the Slovenian ironworks museum (currently closed for renovation).
Logging tasks
- Near the church at header coordinates you will find a steel bell with the manufacturing year written on it in Roman numerals. Send the year either via the message center or as an e-mail message.
- Take a walk to the reference point 03: Open-air museum. Post a photo to your log of something that caught your attention in this old factory hall. (Every Saturday and at some special occasions, there's a farmers' market at the same location. You can see the exhibition in spite of that.)
