Det Kgl. Bibliotek Virtual Cache

[ENG] To log this cache your log must include af photo of Bogtårnet (The Book Tower), where you can see "Det Kgl. Bibliotek" on the wall. Furthermore the photo must include af part of yourself or a piece of paper with your geocaching name (see example below).

[DK] Det Kgl. Bibliotek med det karakteristiske bogtårn, er et af Aarhus' mange vartegn. Bogtårnet er 18 etager højt, og er det højeste punkt over havet i Aarhus. Bogtårnet er, som navnet antyder, fyldt med bøger og andet litteratur, men der er meget andet at komme efter.

I stueetagen er der en café, i kælderen er der rekreativt område med bl.a. bordtennis og gratis massagestole. På 1. sal er der en dejlig have. Biblioteket holder med jævne mellemrum "Åbent Bogtårn", hvor man kan få en gratis rundvisning - og ikke mindst muligheden for at nyde udsigten fra toppen af Aarhus (kun muligt ved rundvisning). Det kan varmt anbefales!

[ENG] Det Kgl. Bibliotek (The Royal Danish Library) with its characteristic Book Tower is one of the many landmarks in Aarhus. The Book Tower is 18 stories tall and is the highest point above sea level in Aarhus. The Book Tower is, as the name suggests, filled with books and other litterature, but there is much more here.

On the ground floor there is a café, in the basement there is a recreational area with table tennis and free massage chairs amongst other things. On the 1st floor there is a nice garden. The Library regulary host "Open Book Tower" where you can get a free guided tour - and a chance to enjoy the view from the top of Aarhus (only possible on guided tours). We highly recommend this!
