Welcome to RCA Pier on the Camden Waterfront.
Buddy caching is highly recommended here.
There is no physical cache to find at the posted coordinates.
We will get to some history, but I know the first thing you want to know is... how to log this cache. The posted coordinates will bring you to a brand new park on RCA Pier. Follow the paved path all the way up till you get to an info sign that is titled "Camden Rising". At this point the path turns to gravel. This gravel circular section has some trees in it. Add the number of trees to the number of screws holding the info sign to it's base and message me your answer. Also when you log your find online please post a picture of ANYTHING you find interesting on your adventure here. Don't be afraid to explore... the waterfront stretches all the way from the Battleship New Jersey to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge.
Suggestions of things to look for.
Philly Skyline
Philadelphia 76'ers practice... practice... not a game... we're talkin' bout practice facility.
You can bike or walk the Ben Franklin Bridge.
Peregrine Falcons on the Ben Franklin Bridge.
BB&T Pavilion
Ulysses Wiggins Waterfront Park
Battleship New Jersey
River Link Ferry
Camden Children's Garden
Wiggins Park Marina
Adventure Aquarium
Parking is plentiful, but can be very expensive if you come on show days. If you aren't in the area because of a show and want to not pay for parking, check the BB&T Pavilion's web site to see when there is NOT a show going on. A huh, read that again. I bike here all the time, but I feel safe riding here. Not all will. If you bike over from Philly, by way of the Ben, you should be alright. You can come by River Link Ferry that leaves from Penn's Landing. There is also the River Link Light Rail that will drop you right off at the Aquarium.
I started working here in June 1995, it was the second show ever at the Blockbuster-Sony Music Entertainment Centre. I stayed for ten years from Blockbuster-Sony Music Entertainment Centre into the Tweeter days. After I left it changed names two more times. The waterfront has gone through some amazing transformations while I was there and even more since I left. Seems like every time I ride up here there is something new. This town is not for everyone, but I love this place. So many memories. Camden has a rough reputation, most of it deserved, don't take your visit lightly. I think if you give it a chance this place may just grow on you too. Be safe and have fun.
Grunriese mentioned his archived cache in his log, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I link it here. He does a much better job with the history part of the pier then I can.
