Klockor är en av de artefakter som den moderna människan är mycket beroende av. För att komma i tid är viktigt på många sätt:
Det kan vara för att hinna med avgången med den buss/tåg/flyg/båt du ska med.
Det kan vara att komma i tid till ditt arbetspass.
Det kan vara att komma i rätt tid till eventet/festen/konserten.

Att mäta tid är en av mänsklighetens tidiga uppfinningar. Det började troligen med Egypternas solur, och har sedan dess fortsatt via timglas, vattenur, mekaniska ur och kvartsur till dagens radiostyrda atomur.

Vetenskapligt sett så började dagens tid för cirka 13,8 miljarder år sedan i och med Big Bang. När tiden kommer ta slut är svårare för vetenskapen att säga. För de organismer som finns på jorden kommer tiden i alla fall ta slut om 500-1.000  miljoner år, det vill säga när solens livscykel omöjliggör levande liv på jorden.

Tid finns det alltså gott om för oss alla. Speciellt för dig som vill kunna logga denna virtuella cache som kommer ta dig till några av de kända och mer okända offentliga klockor som finns runt Stockholm.

Om du planerar dina besök bra så tar det cirka 1,5 timme att besöka så många klockor som behövs centralt i Stockholm city. Eller så väljer du att göra besöken mer utspritt bland klockorna längre från city och gör besöken under flera dagar. Bara du kommer ihåg att dokumentera besöken enligt nedanstånde så har du nästan all tid i världen på dig att bli klar.

Loggningskrav

Till beskrivningen finns det 24 olika waypoints, där det på varje koordinat finns en klocka, som är värd ett visst antal timmar enligt poängtabellen nedanför.

Du ska besöka så många klockor det behövs för att få ihop minst 24 timmar, plus Odenplan som är obligatorisk att besöka.

Bilder på alla klockor finns med i beskrivningen om du vill titta på hur de ser ut innan du besöker platserna.

Clocks are one of the artifacts on which modern man is highly dependent. Being on time is important in many ways:
It may be to catch with the departure with the bus/train/airplane/boat you are going with.
It may be to arrive on time for your work shift.
It can be to arrive on time for the event/party/concert.

Measuring time is one of humanity's early inventions. It probably started with the Egyptian sundial, and has since continued via hourglasses, water clocks, mechanical clocks and quartz clocks to today's radio-controlled atomic clocks.

According to science, today's time began about 13.8 billion years ago with the Big Bang. When time will run out is harder for science to say. For the organisms that exist on earth, time will at least end in 500-1,000 million years, that is, when the solar life cycle makes life on earth impossible.

So there is plenty of time for all of us. Especially for you who want to be able to log this virtual cache. Which will take you to some of the known and more unknown public clocks that are around Stockholm.

If you plan your visits well, it takes about 1.5 hours to visit as many clocks as are needed in central Stockholm city. Or you choose to make the visits more spread out among the clocks further from the city and make the visits during several days. As long as you remember to document the visits as below, you have almost all the time in the world to finish.

Logging requirements

In the description there are 24 different waypoints, where at each coordinate there is a clock, which is worth a certain number of hours according to the score table below.

You must visit as many clocks as needed to get at least 24 hours together, plus Odenplan which is mandatory to visit.

Pictures of all the clocks are included in the description if you want to look at what they look like before you visit the places.

• The clock at Stockholm Odenplan is mandatory to visit
• Of the remaining 23 clocks you choose which ones to visit to get together at least 24 hours
• At each clock you visit take a photograph together with a note with your geo name on it
  The note with your geoname must be visible together with the clock
• Enter in your log which clocks you have visited, their score and the total score you have accumulated. For example like this:

Stockholm Odenplan

Här det konstverket Luftande av Leif Boltner som klockan är en del av.

Konstverket invigdes 2001, då med namnet Tekniktornet, är en del av Odenplans luftsystem, där friskluft tas in och lufttrycket som skapas av tågen på in mot stationen släpps ut. Det är även en del av nödutgångarna som finns på stationen.

Tekniktornets skick, som sköttes av Stockholms stad, blev sämre och sämre under 2010-talet. Bland annat slutade klockan att fungera och affischer tilläts sitta kvar på glasväggarna.
Under 2018 togs driften över av Trafikförvaltningen och en upprustning gjordes. I och med nyinvignignen den 15 september byttes även namnet till det nuvarande Luftande.

Here is it the artwork Luftande by Leif Boltner of which the clock is a part.

The artwork was inaugurated in 2001, then with the name Tekniktornet, is part of Odenplan's air system, where fresh air is taken in and the air pressure created by the trains arriving at the station is released. The tower is also part of the emergency exits at the station.

The condition of the tower, which was managed by the city of Stockholm, got worse and worse during the 2010s. Among other things, the clock stopped working and posters were allowed to remain on the glass walls.
In 2018, the operation was taken over by the Transport Administration and an upgrade was made. With the new inauguration on September 15, the name was also changed to the current Luftande.

Stockholm Central

Här finns klockan på Centralhallens västra vägg, vid passagen till spår 10.

Detta kan vara den offentliga klocka som ses, eller i alla fall passeras av flest resenärer i Sverige då ungefär 222.000 människor rör sig genom Centralstationen varje dag.

This can be the public clock that is seen by, or at least passed by, most travelers in Sweden as approximately 222,000 people move through Central Station every day.

Stockholm City

Här är det konstverket Cuckoo Clock av Karl Sandzen som klockan är en del av. 

Konstverket är en 24 timmar lång animation av livet i en storstad. Människor som reser, jobbar, äter och tränar passerar förbi i takt med verklighetens puls.

Observera att denna klocka återfinns innanför spärrlinjen på det centrala mellanplanet. Så du behöver ha en SL-biljett för att komma hit.

Arlanda terminal 5

På Arlanda finns det ett flertal klockor av samma design. Men det är en av de 2 stora klockor som hänger från taket i avgångshallen på Terminal 5 våning 3 som du ska besöka här.

Avgångshallen tillhör landside och är därmed möjlig att besöka när som helst utan att passera en säkerhetskontroll.

At Arlanda, there are several clocks of the same design. But it is one of the 2 large clocks that are hanging from the ceiling in the departure hall at Terminal 5 floor 3 that you must visit here.

The departure hall belongs to landside and is thus possible to visit at any time without passing a security check.
