Wörgler Meilensteine

Geschichte:

Die Wörgler Meilensteine sind ein Bildungsprojekt der Stadt Wörgl, das von Bürgermeister Arno Abler initiiert und umgesetzt wurde. 304 historische Ereignisse von Beginn unserer Zeitrechnung an bis zum Eröffnungstag am 23. Juni 2006 wurden in Form von Granittafeln in den Gehsteigen der Innenstadt auf einem Rundweg von genau einer altrömischen Meile  (entspricht 1482 m) verlegt. Der Weg führt entlang der Bahnhofstraße, der Innsbrucker Straße, dem Andreas-Hofer-Platz, der Salzburger Straße und der Josef-Speckbacher-Straße.

Die Tafeln wurden chronologisch mit Beginn und Ende vor dem Eingang zum Wörgler Hauptbahnhof in einem Rundweg maßstabsgerecht verlegt, sodass ein Jahr der Geschichte in Wörgl mit einem Schritt von rund 73 cm durchmessen werden kann.

Die dargestellten Ereignisse aus allen Wissensbereichen wurden vom Institut für Geschichte an der Universität Innsbruck nach der Vorgabe ausgewählt, dass sie Meilensteine in der Menschheitsgeschichte, der Geschichte Österreichs und Tirols und der regionalen Geschichte der Stadt Wörgl darstellen sollten, die entscheidende Wendungen für die Zukunft mit sich brachten.

Auf allen Tafeln findet sich in Anlehnung an das Freigeldexperiment 1932/33 der jeweilige Wert eines fiktiven am 1. Jänner des Jahres 1 auf eine fiktive Bank eingezahlten €uros, der mit moderaten 3 % verzinst wird.

Die Meilensteine wurde zum Teil aus der Bahnhofstraße, wegen der Neugestaltung der Begegnungszone, entfernt und nun hier verlegt.

4. FRAGE 3: Gehe nach dem Meilenstein "Vereinigung der Gemeinden Kufstein-Wörgl und Rattenberg-Wörgl" noch ca. 40m gerade aus. Auf der linken Seite findest du Institut einer wichtigen Wörgler Persönlichkeit. Wie heißt dieses Institut? Es wird nur das erste Wort benötigt.

Wörgl's milestones

History:

Wörgl’s milestones are an educational project of the city of Wörgl, which was initiated and realized by mayor Arno Abler. 304 historical events starting from our time reckoning to the opening day on June 23rd 2006 are mentioned on granite plaques that were laid into the sidewalks of the inner city creating a circular path of an exact early Roman mile (about 1,482 metres). The path covers the Bahnhofstraße, Innsbrucker Straße, Andreas-Hofer-Platz, Salzburger Straße and Josef-Speckbacher-Straße.

The plaques were laid chronologically to create a path starting and finishing at the entry of the train station in Wörgl. The path is true to scale, which means that one year in the history of the city can be measured with a person’s step of about 73 cm.

The mentioned events come from all areas of science and were chosen by the Institute of History at the University of Innsbruck. The institute was asked to select milestones from the history of humankind, Austria’s and Tirol’s history as well as regional history including the city of Wörgl, which had an profund impact on mankind and our future.

In reference to the demurrage currency experiment from 1932/33 you will find the value of a fictional euro that was deposited at a fictional bank with a moderate interest rate of 3% on January 1st in the year 1 on every plaque.

The milestones were partially removed from Bahnhofstraße due to the redesign of the encounter zone, and have now been relocated here.
