Geocache Description:

Built in 1881, the Pillsbury A Mill played a major role in making Minneapolis the flour milling capital of the world. Charles A. Pillsbury was always competing with General Mills on the other side of the river for dominance of flour milling in Minneapolis. For 40 years, the Pillsbury A MIll was the largest flour mill in the world. In the end, I guess General Mills won as they acquired Pillsbury in 2001.

It has been preserved and put to re-use as artist lofts and apartments. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places and declared a National Historic Landmark way back on November 13, 1966.

Logging requirements:

1. Post a photo in your log of you with the big A on the front of the building in the background or

2. Find the statue on the corner of the man with a bag of flour and send me, via messaging or email, the names of the two people who donated it.        DO NOT put the names in your online log!
