GRUMMAN MEMORIAL PARK
The posted coordinates are for the entrance to the park. Current park hours are 9am-5pm, but you can check for updated information on their website HERE:
Grumman Memorial Park is a volunteer effort paying tribute to the incredible advances in aviation and aerospace that took place on Long Island, thanks to the teamwork of the employees of Grumman Corporation. This dedicated group of people took aviation from the flight deck of a Navy carrier to man's first steps on the moon.
The two Naval aircraft and missile on display were used for over 30 years in the defense of our Nation from the Vietnam war to post 9-11. All are now retired, but offer a glimpse of past accomplishments that were designed and manufactured by the people of Long Island. As you wander around to gather information for this virtual, take time to read some of the smaller plaques, you might find them interesting.
