Marsden Tenter Posts
The tenter posts were used by the textile mills to stretch and dry long rolls of cloth after scouring. Two long horizontal rails would have been fixed to the posts and woollen rolls of cloth were stretched along the rails and held in place by tenterhooks attached to the rails. The Marsden tenter posts are Grade II listed and are an important part of Marsden's industrial heritge.
