Velkommen til Møns klint.
Historie og geografi.
Klinten er op til 128 meter høj og starter her ved Liselund slotspark og syv kilomter sydpå til Møn fyr. Klinten blev dannet for 75 millioner år siden og består af skrivekridt. Kridtet er faktisk mikroskopiske kalkpladder fra nogle organismer der hedder kokkolitter. Det er muligt at finde mange forsteninger i kridtet, søpindsvin, vættelys, østersskaller mm.
Liselund slotspark er en hel historie for sig selv, men den må man gå på wikipedia og læse om.
Vigtigt:
Der kan være nedstyrtningsfare, særligt i frostvejr efter meget nedbør.
Cachen kan ikke logges om natten eller hvis det er tåget. Er der meget højvandet er det ikke sikkert man kan gå på stranden.
Logningskrav:
Gå ned til stranden for foden af klinten. Gå hen til koordinaterne. Find en flintesten eller et stykke træ og skriv dit geocachingnavn med et stykke kridt (alternativt med papir og pen). Tag et foto hvor man både kan se klinten og dit navn og upload det med din log.
Welcome to the Cliffs of Møn.
History and geography.
The cliffs are up to 128 meters high and begins here at Liselund park and last for seven kilomters south to Møn lighthouse. The cliffs were formed 75 milion years ago and consists of microscopic calcium plates from an organism called coccolithophore. It is possible to find all kinds of fossils in the cliffs.
Liselund park is a whole history in itself, but you'll have to google that yourself.
Parking is free and there is no entrance fee.
Important:
There is a risk of collaps and falling rocks, especially in sub zero temperatures after a lot of rain.
The cache can not be found at night or if its foggy. If the tide is very high it might not be possible to walk on the beach.
Logging requirement:
Go to the beach at the botom of the cliffs. Walk along the beach to the coordinates. Find a blue rock or a piece of driftwood and use a piece of the chalk to write your geocaching name (alternatively use pen and paper). Take a picture where both the white cliffs and your name are visible and post this with your log.
