Arbeidet med å opparbeide parken startet i 1935-36. Det var da ei myr uten åpent vann og heller ingen trær. Det første treet ble plantet i 1937, og etter krigen ble masse tatt bort slik at det ble en liten innsjø.

Mange av fuglene i parken er satt ut der. Av andefugler finner du rustand, gravand og diverse tamender. Mandarinand pleier det også være. Spesielt om vinteren er det mange ville ender som nyter godt av at folk kommer med mat. Det pleier å være flere hundre stokkender, men også en del toppender. Andre ender dukker sporadisk opp. Sammen med tamgjess er det noen kanadagjess og en del grågjess. Kalkun og perlehøne er det flere av sammen med mange tamhøns. Påfuglene viser godt igjen, og er flotte på våren når hannene bruser med fjørene. Hettemåke og fiskemåke er vanlig om vår og sommeren, mens på vinteren er gråmåke mest vanlig. Noen svartbak er også innom parken. Sivhøner er lettest å se om vinteren. Utenom tamduene er tyrkerdue og ringdue vanlige i parken. Det er en koloni med kornkråker i parken, og mange kaier er også å se i tillegg til vanlig kråke. Av småfugl er det litt forskjellig som gråspurv, fuglekonge, kjøttmeis, blåmeis, rødstrupe, svarttrost og gråtrost.

The peacocks are easy to find, and they are nice to see in the spring when the male tries to impress the female with his feathers. Black-headed gulls and common gulls are common in the spring and summer, while in winter, herring gulls are most common. Some great black-backed gulls are also visiting the park. Common moorhens are easiest to see in the winter. Apart from domestic pigeons, eurasian collared doves and wood pigeons are also common in the park. There is a colony of rooks in the park, and many jackdaws can also be seen in addition to hooded crows. Of smaller birds, there are many different to see like the house sparrow, goldcrest, great tit, blue tit, robin, black thrush and fieldfare.

Du kan peke med fingen eller GPS-en på en av statuene ute i vannet eller på en av fuglene. Enda bedre er om du prøver å se ut som en våryr påfugl eller en galende hane eller noe annet fuglerelatert. The most important thing is to show that you have visited the park after the cache was published and do not use an old image. You can point with your finger or GPS at one of the statues out in the water or at one of the birds. Even better is if you try to look like a proud peacock or a rooster crowing or some other bird related stuff. Use your fantasy.
